Carla Chávez (1986) graduated in architecture from the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Ecuador and holds a Master’s degree in Sustainable Building Workshop from the Polytechnic University of Catalonia. Winner of the first mention in Urban Planning at the 2010 Pan-American Architecture Biennial, she is dedicated to teaching architectural design at national and international level. Together with Felipe Donoso and Carolina Rodas she founded RAMA Estudio and Torno Co.Lab, a platform for collaboration.
Felipe Donoso (1986), after graduating in architecture from the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Ecuador, obtained a Master’s degree in Sustainable Product Design at the European Institute of Design in Barcelona. Winner of the first national prize in Rehabilitation and Recycling at the 2014 Pan-American Architecture Biennial, he currently works as a researcher at Pontificia Universidad Católica del Ecuador. He is a national and international lecturer in recursive architecture, digital fabrication, and sustainable design.
Carolina Rodas (1986) graduated in architecture from the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Ecuador and holds a Master’s degree in Cities and Housing from the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid and a Master’s degree in Collective Housing MCH. Winner of the first national prize in Rehabilitation and Recycling at the 2014 Pan-American Architecture Biennial, she is a researcher at the Catholic University of Quito. She was academic coordinator of the 2012 Pan-American Architecture Biennial and international coordinator of the CIUHABITAT university competition at HABITAT III. She lectures nationally and internationally on collaborative work, cities, community processes and recursive architecture.
