Selina Walder (1976) completed her architectural studies at the USI-Academy of Architecture Mendrisio in 2004, graduating with Valerio Olgiati with whom she worked as an assistant from 2004 to 2006. He curated the exhibition ‘DADO – gebaut und bewohnt von Valerio Olgiati und Rudolf Olgiati’ at the Gelbe Haus in Flims.
Georg Nickisch (1977) graduated in 2005 with Peter Zumthor from USI-Academy of Architecture Mendrisio, where he worked as an assistant in the chair of Jonathan Sergison. He has been a visiting professor at the Haute école d’art et de design in Geneva (HEAD).
In 2005 they founded the studio Nickisch Walder Architekten together, based in Flims in the canton of Graubünden. The studio won the competition for the new Plantahof auditorium in Landquart, in collaboration with Valerio Olgiati (2008). Their project for the renovation of a 19th century school building, located on the square in Valendas, received the SIA Umsicht – Regards – Sguardi 2017 award.
