Christian Teshirogi (1977) and Noelia Monteiro (1984) founded Estudio Flume in 2015 with the aim to develop architectural alternatives to the social and environmental problems of the Brazilian metropolis.
Estudio Flume focuses on the design of working and production spaces to generate better economic and social opportunities in small communities within rural Brazil. These projects are developed in partnership with local organisations promoting inclusive and local businesses as a solution to forced migration and deforestation.
Noelia Monteiro has been a professor at Escola da Cidade since 2019 and coordinates the research group Ways of Living on the Marajó Island – Pará.
