Romina Grillo (1984) and Liviu Vasiu (1982) graduated at USI-Academy of architecture Mendrisio. They have worked in different offices like Valerio Olgiati in Flims and OMA -Rem Koolhaas in Rotterdam. Since 2010 they work independently by developing different projects, initially inside the collective UNULAUNU, and now as founders of the studio GRILLOVASIU. The national Romanian pavilion for the 2010 Venice biennale was their first build project, since then, they are in the realisation of and participation to international projects, exhibitions, lectures and publications. Next to their professional activity Grillo and Vasiu are constantly involved in the academic world, teaching in universities such as USI-Academy of architecture Mendrisio, ETH Zurich, AHO Oslo and Porto Academy.
