Born in Siena (1979), he obtained a Master’s Degree in Architecture (design specialisation) at the University of Florence, supervisor Prof. Paolo Zermani, co-rapporteur Prof. Riccardo Butini. In 2011 he won a scholarship for a PhD in Architectural and Urban Design at the University of Florence, where he got the PhD in 2014 with the thesis: Tra luogo e viaggio. L’architettura di Angiolo Mazzoni dall’Italia alla Colombia, tutor prof. Paolo Zermani. In 2014 he won the competition to become a member of the Technical Scientific Committee of the Polo universitario grossetano and since the academic year 2014-2015 he has been an Adjunct Professor at the University of Florence. He is co-rapporteur for numerous degree theses dealing with the design of new buildings in consolidated historical contexts and in the Italian landscape.
Since 2010, he has worked in his studio in Roccatederighi, dealing with the issues of living in valuable landscape contexts and the restoration and reuse of public spaces and buildings in historic centres. He has taken part in numerous architecture competitions as group leader and designer, obtaining several mentions and winning the competition for the redevelopment of piazza Duomo in Rossano Veneto.
