Born in 1977, he graduated as an architect from the Universidad Anáhuac del Norte. In 2002 he founded CC Arquitectos – now Manuel Cervantes Estudio. He has collaborated with institutions such as the Centro para la Cultura Arquitectónica y Urbana (CCAU) in its Intertectonics II cycle in Guadalajara, Jalisco; the Institute for Transportation and Development Policy (ITDP) in the United States and the Consorcio Transportes Madrid in Spain.
His work has been recognised with more than 22 national and international awards, including the Luis Barragán Lifetime Achievement Award from the Colegio de Arquitectos de México-Sociedad de Arquitectos Mexicanos (CAM-SAM), the Architectural League of New York 2015 Emerging Voices, Architectural Review Emerging Architecture Award 2014, first prize in the architectural design category at the XIX Bienal Panamericana de Arquitectura de Quito (BAQ 2014).
