Born in Bregenzerwald region in 1974, he graduated with distinction from the Technical University in Innsbruck in 2001 and founded his architectural practice in 2003. A state-authorised and sworn civil engineer since 2006, Bader has been involved in the advisory council for spatially relevant issues of the province of Vorarlberg since 2012-2017. He was and is active in several design advisory boards, including the cities of Salzburg and Dornbirn. He teaches at the Hochschule St. Gallen and since 2012 at the University of Liechtenstein. In addition to numerous regional prizes and the Weissenhof Architecture Promotion Prize for Young Architecture 2007, Bader received the Piranesi Award in 2012 and 2017, and in 2013 he was awarded the Aga Khan Award for Architecture.
