Seventh Edition 2019-2020
María Langarita (1979) is PhD in Architecture from the ETSA Madrid, where she lectures in Architectural Design. Víctor Navarro (1979) is PhD in architecture from ETSA Madrid; he has been lecturer at Harvard University Graduate School of Design in 2015 and currently lectures in Architectural Design at the Universidad Europea de Madrid. They have worked together since 2005 in the architectural studio langarita navarro. Their work has been recognized with the Special Mention of the European Union Prize for Contemporary Architecture – Mies van der Rohe Award 2013 as well as the award of the XII Spanish Biennal of Architecture and Urbanism, the FAD 2012 Award, the AR+D Emerging Architecture Award 2012 and the COAM 2013 Award. Their career has also been honoured with the Young Architect of the Year 2014 Award, and the AD Nuevos Valores 2013 award. Their work has appeared in various publications and has been chosen for the monograph of 2G magazine. Their work has been selected to be exhibited in different places and events, including the 6th Biennale of Architecture and Urbanism of Shenzhen 2015 and the 14th International Architecture Exhibition – La Biennale di Venezia 2014. They have been the directors of XII BEAU – Universidad Menended Pelayo Summer Course and they were selected to be Jurors for the Santo Domingo Biennial.
