Fourth Edition 2013-2014
Camilo Restrepo was born in Medellin, Colombia in 1974; he graduated from the Universidad Pontificia Bolivariana in Medellin in 1998 and received a Master in Architecture, Urban culture and Urbanism from the Universidad Politecnica de Catalunya in 2004-2005. He is currently an advisor in urban matters and a professor at the Universidad EAFIT, Medellin, and guest professor in 2014 at the Harvard Graduate School of Design. Camilo is the leader and founder of AGENdA, an architecture agency based in Medellin, interested in the design of relations in space through applied research projects: from micro architectures and cultural analysis to territorial and urban issues. In 2010 he was the director of “Ciudad Abierta”, a whole month city event for architecture and urbanism in Medellin. He has been involved in various curatorships, symposiums and seminars in America.
His texts and projects have been published by a wide range of architectural periodicals and his work has been exhibited at the Cooper Hewitt Museum in the 2010 National Design Triennial, and at the Museum of Modern Art in Medellin, and published in a monograph in 2009. He has been nominated for the first edition of the Rolex Mentor Protege award and for the Iakhov Chernikhov prize in Russia in 2011; he has been awarded in the Colombian Biennale and in the Bienal Iberoamericana de Arquitectura in 2008. He has been invited as a jury for competitions in Latin America and as a lecturer in various countries all over the world.
