Dermot Boyd (1967) graduated in 1990 with an honours Diploma and Degree in Architecture from the Dublin Institute of Technology and Trinity College Dublin. He became a member of Royal Institute of Architects in 1997 and was President of the Architectural Association of Ireland in 1997. He is currently undertaking a PhD with RMIT University in Design Practice. Lecturer at the Dublin Institute of Technology since 1999.

Peter Cody (1967) graduated in 1990 with a first class honours Diploma and Degree in Architecture from the Dublin Institute of Technology and Trinity College Dublin. A Fulbright scholar, he attended Columbia University in 1995 and 1996 completing a Masters in Advanced Architectural Design. He became a Member of Royal Institute of Architects in 1999 and was President of the Architectural Association of Ireland from 2000 to 2002. Chairman of DoCoMoMo Ireland from 2010 to 2012. He is currently undertaking a PhD with RMIT University in Design Practice. Lecturer at University College Dublin since 2000.

Dermot Boyd and Peter Cody founded Boyd Cody Architects in 1998. Since 2000, the practice has been based in Dublin, Ireland. They have won many awards, most notably the Architectural Association of Ireland Downes Medal for Design Excellence in Architecture in 2005 and the Architectural Review Emerging Architecture Award in 2006. Boyd and Cody represented Ireland on two occasions at the Mies van der Rohe Award and exhibited at the Venice Architecture Biennale in 2006 and again in 2012. Cody curated Ireland’s entry at the Lisbon Triennale in 2007.
