Born in Santiago del Chile in 1965, he graduated in 1989 from the School of Architecture of the Catholic University of Chile, before studying in 1990-1992 at the IUAV in Venice. In 2001 he was awarded from the Colegio de Arquitectos de Chile as best Chilean architect under 35, thanks to his first prize winning project for the Barrio Civico in Concepción. He gave lectures and conferences in Mexico, Argentina, Spain, USA, Norway and Austria and in 2007 he has been visiting professor at the University of Texas. Currently he works in association with the sculptress Marcela Correa in his office in Santiago del Chile.
