Third Edition 2011-2012
Born in 1967, architect from the Catholic University of Chile, he established Alejandro Aravena Architects in 1994. He was Visiting Professor at the Graduate School of Design, Harvard University (2000-2005) and is currently Elemental-Copec Professor at Catholic University of Chile. He is member of the Pritzker Prize Jury and has been named International Fellow of the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA). Awards include the Silver Lion at the XI Venice Biennale, the Marcus Prize 2010, the Avonni Prize for Innovator of the Year and the Erich Schelling Architecture Medal 2006 among other prizes.
