Architect and professor of design at the Escuela Técnica Superior de Arquitectura of Madrid. He has been awarded various important tenders, including the renovation of sheds 15 and 16 of the Matadero Madrid (former slaughterhouse) for the contemporary art collection, the new building of the Madrid Public Prosecutor’s Office, an experimental housing complex for the Spanish Ministry of Housing, a multi-sports facility at the Complutense University of Madrid (as part of the city’s bid to host the 2012 Olympics) and the CEU San Pablo University. His work has been exhibited and won prizes at numerous national and international events, including the Venice Biennale in 2000, the Luigi Cosenza 2002 award, the COAM (Colegio Oficial de Arquitectos de Madrid) 2003 and the European VII awards. He founded ICA Arquitectos with Ignacio Vila (1972) and Alejandro Virsenda (1972).
