After graduating from the Escuela Politécnica of Madrid (ETSAM), he opened his own studio in the city in 2000. He has worked with different Spanish and international architects, including Jean Nouvel. For his work on the Matadero Madrid, he was awarded the first prize in the Madrid City Hall Architecture and Town Planning Awards for the best restoration. He has taught at ETSAM and the Menendez Palayo International University, and has been a visiting professor at various Spanish (La Coruña and Alicante) and foreign universities (Santo Domingo and Santiago del Cile). He is currently a professor of design at the Pontifical University of Salamanca. He has been an architecture critic for one of Spain’s leading daily newspapers since 1998. Since 2008, he has edited the magazine of the Colegio Oficial de Arquitectos de Madrid, “Arquitectura COAM”. His works have been published in national and international journals.
