Andrea Liverani (1969)
In 1991-92, Andrea Liverani studied in Portugal at the Faculty of Architecture of the University of Porto (FAUP) with an Erasmus grant. He graduated in architectural design from Milan Politecnico in 1994, when he also won a Comett post-graduate grant. In 1995, he gained a Master’s from the Etsab-UPC in Barcelona, where he was a researcher from 1998 to 2000. He did a professional apprenticeship in Seville in the studio of Vasquez Consuegra, and then in Porto and Madrid. Andrea Liverani and Enrico Molteni founded the liverani/molteni architetti studio in Milan in 1999. The casa ST in Barlassina has won various awards for its works: the 2004 Piranesi Award (Slovenia), the 2005 National In/Arch Award and the 2006 Academy of San Luca Award, when the two architects held their first personal exhibition in Rome. Their works have on various occasions been selected to represent new Italian architecture. In 2006, they were part of the Italian pavilion in the X Venice Architecture Biennale.
Enrico Molteni (1969)
In 1991-92, Enrico Molteni studied in Denmark at the Aarhus School of Architecture with an Erasmus grant. He graduated in 1994 in architectural design from Milan Politecnico. Thereafter, he did an apprenticeship in the Torres-Lapeña studio in Barcelona, and completed a research doctorate in 2005 at Etsab-UPC (Barcelona School of Architecture). He has edited several publications on the work of Álvaro Siza Vieira, particularly on the subject of housing, and has been a temporary lecturer at the Faculties of Architecture in Alghero and Milan. He is currently a design assistant at the Academy of Architecture in Mendrisio (Università della Svizzera Italiana). Since 2008, he has been a member of the editorial committee of the magazine “Casabella”.
