Vão (São Paulo, 2013) was founded by three recent graduates who shared the desire to carry out spatial research in an expanded field. In addition to a deep interest in architecture, Anna Juni (1989), Enk te Winkel (1987), and Gustavo Delonero (1986) had been working with the visual arts for several years as assistants of contemporary artists. This contact not only influenced their architectural work but led them to develop their installation projects. Throughout its career, Vão has taken part in biennials such as the BAL (Biennial of Latin American Architecture), XI BIAU (Ibero-American Biennial of Architecture and Urbanism) and XII São Paulo International Architecture Biennial. Among the awards received are the Début Award from the Lisbon Architecture Triennale (2022), the IAB-SP Award (2021, 2019 and 2018) and the Tomie Ohtake Institute Akzonobel Prize (2017).

Vão is also stimulated by the exercise of teaching, which they have frequently engaged in at the Escola da Cidade (São Paulo) and at the FADU-UBA (Facultad de Arquitectura Diseño y Urbanismo de la Universidad de Buenos Aires). As teachers, they are interested in creating fertile and emancipatory grounds, venturing on the unexpected by taking shared risks and celebrating diversity.
