Born in Mexico City in 1973, she graduated cum laude in Architecture from the Polytechnic University of Madrid. She also holds previous degrees from the Universidad Iberoamericana. In 2012 she obtained the Young Architecture Award and has been nominated for Iakov Chernikov International Prize twice (2009 and 2015). Her work has been exhibited at the Venice Biennale Architettura (2006, 2012 and 2014), the National Arts Center in Mexico City (2006), the MoMA in New York (2011), the University Museum of Contemporary Art UnAM (2012) and the Palace of Fine Arts (2014 e 2015) in Mexico City, at the Franz Mayer Museum (2016), as well as the Architecture Biennials of Rotterdam (2005) and São Paulo (2005 and 2011). Her work has received several awards such as the Concrete WAN Awards, the International Architecture Award, the Chicago Athenaeum Museum of Architecture and Design, Archdaily Prize, IIDA Interior Design Award, T&L Design Award, the Ibero-American Biennial, the Pan-American Biennial of Architecture, the Cemex Prize, the Noldi Schrek Prize and the Biennial of the College of Architects of Mexico.
