He Jianxiang was born in Xinhui, China, in 1972, and received his Bachelor in Architecture from South China University of Technology in 1996. In 2000, he received his Master in Architecture from the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven, Belgium. In 2007, with Ying Jiang, he co-founded O-office Architects, a practice based in Guangzhou. He is now a guest professor in Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts and has lectured in several universities in China and abroad.

Jiang Ying was born in Nanning, China, in 1976, and received her B. Arch degree from the same university as He Jianxiang in 1999. She received the President Chirac Scholarship in 2001 and in 2004 her degree in architecture from the École Nationale Supérieure d’Architecture de Versailles. In 2007 she co-founded with He Jianxiang O-office Architects. She has been a visiting assistant professor in the University of Hong Kong.

O-office’s works have been awarded the Design Vanguard Award (2015), the Iconic Awards (2015), Design For Asia Grand Award Finalist (2015) and Special Committee Award in Shenzhen – Hong Kong Architecture and Urbanism Bi-city Biennale (2011 and 2013), as well as being exhibited at the West Bund Architecture Biennale in Shanghai and Grand China Design Exhibition 2013 in Shenzhen. Their works have also been published in major Chinese and European architectural magazines.
