A graduate of the IUAV in Venice, he lives in Caldaro, South Tyrol. He has taught at the University of Innsbruck and has been a guest professor in Vienna, Palermo, Reggio Calabria, Munich, Zurich, Milan, Porto and Viseu, Berlin. His work has received several prizes and awards. He is a full professor and currently dean of the Academy of Architecture at the Università della Svizzera italiana.
