András Pálffy (* 1954 in Budapest) studied architecture at the Vienna University of Technology. From 2001 to 2002 he was a visiting professor at the Linz University of Art. From 2003 to 2020 he held a professorship at the Department of Design Theory and Design at TU Vienna, and from 2012 to 2019 he was also head of the institute. Since 2022 he teaches at the Università della Svizzera italiana, Academy of architecture Mendrisio – Atelier Pálffy. From 2007 to 2013 he was president of the Association of Visual Artists Vienna Secession. Since 1988 he has run the architectural firm Jabornegg & Pálffy with Christian Jabornegg.
