Monica Ponce de Leon was born in Venezuela. She received a Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Miami in 1989, followed by a Masters of Architecture in Urban Design from the Harvard University Graduate School of Design in 1991. She is currently the Dean of the University of Michigan’s Alfred Taubman College of Architecture and Urban Planning.
Nader Tehrani, who is of Persian descent, was born in England. He received a Bachelor of Fine Arts and a Bachelor in Architecture from the Rhode Island School of Design in 1985 and 1986 respectively. He continued his studies at the Harvard University Graduate School of Design where he received a Masters of Architecture in Urban Design in 1991. Associate professor at Massachusetts Institute of Technology, he has also taught at the Harvard University Graduate School of Design, the Rhode Island School of Design and at the Georgia Institute of Technology.
