Studied at Lausanne and New York (Cooper Union) and graduated from the Faculty of Architecture of the Polytechnic of Lausanne. Visiting Professor at the EPFL and Pennsylvania University. In 1982 he was co-founder of the Atelier Cube, to which the Institut für Geschichte und Theorie der Architektur (gta) of the Federal Polytechnic of Zurich devoted an exhibition in 1997. He is dean of the Academy of Architecture of Mendrisio – Università della Svizzera italiana.
